Winsor & Newton Acrylics Mediums allows artist to fully explore the versatility of acrylics helping to improve durability, extending and enhancing colour and improving flow and brush ability. With the help of mediums W&N Acrylics may be used in a fluid, gestural manner (much like watercolour) and in heavier applications (as with oils) and allow acrylics to be shaped and carved, used for printmaking or for virtually any other technique.

Iridescent Medium - Suitable for variety of surfaces and developed to provide pearlescent effects when added to colour. It is most effective when used with transparent colours over dark under layers.

Gloss Medium - Gives a gloss finish with high clarity and even flow. It boosts the brilliance and transparency of the colour as well as improving adhesion and durability.

Matt Medium - Creates a flat and even finish. It maintains brilliance of colour while boosting transparency, adhesion and durability. It gives matt finish and maintain consistency of colour whilst improving flow and transparency.

Flow Improver - Increases flow, allowing the artist to apply areas of flat colour evenly without changing the colour strength. Flow improver should be used only in the amount needed to achieve the desired effect.

Screen Printing Medium - Used to improve flow and slow drying time so that it allows successful printing.

Extender - Highly economical medium use to increases volume of paint while maintaining original colour opacity. Perfect to use when artist want to extend a colour to cover large areas.

Fluid Retarder - Extends the drying and working time of acrylic colours enable to work on artwork longer. Small amount (few drops) mixed with acrylic paint will allow for extended blending and manipulation.
