Pebeo’s Fantasy Moon are range of pearlescent, opaque colours that immediately render a hammered or marbled effect when applied in thin or thick coats on almost any surface, including glass, wood, Plexiglas, canvas, ceramics, metal, and more. Fantasy Moon Paints are great for jewellery making, home décor pieces, or objects of art.

The Fantasy Moon range includes 18 colours in 45 ml bottles. These solvent based, ready to use intermixable, opaque colours offer a pearlescent finish with good lightfastness and are compatible with all other products included in the Pébéo Mixed Media program, which are Pebeo Studio Acrylics, Vitrail Colours, Vitrail Cernes Relief outliner, Gedeo Resins & mirror effect leaves, Glazing Resin and Fantasy Prisme.

After applying the Fantasy Moon paint onto the surface, its hammered effect is revealed and continues to evolve as the paint dries. The thicker the application, the more defined and accentuated the hammered effects will be. A thinner application will create more subtle effects. The Fantasy Moon paints create astonishing contrasts and unique effects which vary according to whether they are used alone, mixed with one another or combined with Fantasy Prisme, Vitrail or Ceramic paints. Fantasy Moon can be used over colours and mediums from the Studio Acrylics range as well as with Gedeo Resins and Mirror Effect Metal Leaf.

We recommend that you use a soft, natural / synthetic fibre brush, such as Pebeo Iris, Princeton VelveTouch, Escoda Ultimo, Escoda Prado, Escoda Versatil, Princeton Miniature or any of the soft bristle brushes available on our website. Clean the brushes and droppers thoroughly with odorless mineral spirits or white spirit and rinse with soapy water before and after painting. The Pébéo Cerne Relief may be used to create outlines to contain and delineate the Fantasy Moon colours.

Thoroughly stir the paint with a wooden stick prior to application to obtain a homogeneous and fluid colour. Do not shake. Deposit the colour with a dropper or directly from the bottle onto a flat horizontal surface. The length of time required for the colours to be completely dry varies according to the thickness of the application. A 1/16” (2 mm) thick application of Fantasy Moon is dry to the touch after 24 hours and completely dry after 72 hours. Wait a minimum of 7 days before adding a coat of resin over completely dried colours.
