The MABEF M/27 Basic Field Easel is a beautiful and functional travel easel. This is a well-constructed folding sketch easel, which is lightweight (only 1.9 Kgs) and folds up into a tight, compact portable unit. Artists use the baisc field easel for sketching, watercolour and oil painting. The tripod easel has plenty of room for large scale work, supporting canvases up to a maximum height of 43 ⅜" or 115 cm. Its large capacity can make a big difference in how you approach working outdoors. The canvas holder can be angled from vertical to horizontal forming a table for use with watercolours. Fitted with 2 folding shelf brackets that support a pastel box while 2 adjustable wood blocks hold it in place. The working angle is easily adjusted by a lever. The easel has a hand lever for easy adjustment and secure lock. Constructed of stain-resistant beech wood and finished with natural oils to enhance the beauty of the wood. The Easel is crafted in the finest tradition of Italian woodworking. A leather strap secures folded easel for transport or storage.
