Krishna Inks "Handmade Inks in India" by Dr. Sreekumar a medical professional. Long before the era of the ball pen came into existence, he uses to grind fountain pens nibs making it a writer’s paradise. Dr. Sreekumar was quite inspired by his master Mr. Ramachandran of Calicut. This guided him to follow his passion and started with Krishna Inks in 2010 from his workshop in Kerala, India. Supporting the Make in India initiative, Krishna Inks is certainly one the biggest Indian brand of Inks with outstanding quality. The sheen works best with higher quality papers like the Tomoe River, the sheen will reduce significantly with lower quality paper.
Inks are available in different series -
Super Rich Series consist of 37 different bold, vivid, and happy shades. The Super Rich Series of inks are not characterized as sheening inks and have a drying time of about 7-8 seconds. The ink will not sheen during normal use but may have some slight sheen in a pool of ink or in art creations. These are medium to high saturation inks with bold enticing colours and tremendous shading characteristics.
Lyrebird Inks are everyday inks are the safest choice for fountain pens. You can't go wrong with these. They come in fantastic waterproof versions too which are maintenance free.
RC Series comprises of some sheentastic colours. These sheen monsters are a pleasure to use for writing, art and calligraphy
Kot-Massi Series is a special series of inks used to write documents, made by traditional Indian methods of ink making. The markings made cannot be rubbed or washed out. The old documents made by this technique have withstood decades without any fading. This is based on traditional Indian Iron gall document ink formula based on Lohabhasma, which is modified for a fountain pen. Completely non washable, Not bleachable by any acid or alkali. For important documents , this ink is highly recommended.
