Escoda Clasico Chungking White Bristle Brushes are made from hog bristle, traditionally used in oil painting. Escoda’s bristles are extracted from the white Chinese bristle from Chungking and is of the highest quality. Its natural hardness responds perfectly to more or less dense oil painting technique and acrylic. The long matt-varnished wood handle offers superb control.
The process of designing and creating Escoda Clasico brushes in their factory begins and ends with brush artisans. Each brush is meticulously crafted by hand resulting in a brush that will be of service for years to come. A triple crimp (exclusive trademark design for Escoda) is applied to the brush ensuring a fixed ferrule that will remain in place for a lifetime of use. The Clasico brushes go through a curing process, original to the Escoda company, which consolidates and locks each hair in place creating a permanent brush shape, known as the ‘Escoda Memory Process’. It also increases the natural spring of the brush and its ability to retain the original form / shape.
Extra Long Handle brushes are available in select large sizes. These high quality white bristle brushes are of great value to painters who work in oil and acrylic on very large canvases. The matt-varnished handle measures almost 60 cm, nearly two feet long, and offers plenty of control.
Filberts have a thick, flat ferrule and oval-shaped medium to long hairs. Rounded shape creates strokes with soft edges. Many artists prefer the filbert for filling circular areas, floating colour and blending. Natural shape for flower petals, leaves, duck and bird feathers.
