Compressed Charcoals are an expressive drawing tool offering smooth laydown & fine detailing opportunities. They can be blended & shaded to create bold black marks & subtle Gray hues. Comprised of powdered natural charcoal & binder, Conte compressed charcoal sticks are available in a range of softness, depending on the ratio of the charcoal to binder. These are perfect for quick sketches, rough outlines with high contrast & for filling in. A must have tool for any dry media artist. One can easily smudge compressed charcoals with fingers, paper and / or blending stumps for quick shading work and sketching. Brake into pieces for easier use.
