STABILO CarbOthello is highly pigmented chalk-based pastel colour pencil which provides excellent performance and strong colour gradations. They can be dry-blended or smudged with either fingertips or a blending stump to create a variety of artistic effects. Dramatic results can be achieved when used on dark backgrounds and delicate papers. They are perfect for art student, artists and creative people of all ages that love to create stunningly luminous and beautiful artworks.
These German-made pencils have semi-soft leads in wood-cased pencil form with 4.4 MM lead within 8 MM cedar wood barrel. The large-diameter lead can make broad strokes as well be sharpened to create a fine point for details and lettering. STABILO CarbOthello Pencil is available in a range of 60 beautiful colours with excellent lightfastness. For superior result use of Fixative on finished artwork is highly recommended.

Blendable and Partially aquarelle - They are opaque partially water-soluble, colour blend beautifully and erase easily. CarbOthello Pencil can be used like watercolour pencil they respond instantly to wet brush or pre-dampened paper. A sharpened white pencil can be used to lighten all colours or add highlights.
